Privacy Policy

J&N is a wedding planning and guest companion app. Hosts create a wedding, invite guests, manage RSVPs, share event details, send wedding updates, and collect private guest photos. Guests enter a private invite code to access the wedding they were invited to.

Who runs the app

What hosts provide

When a host creates or manages a wedding, we store:

• Host account information such as email address and display name.
• Wedding details such as couple names, date, places, schedule, dress code, story, gifts, theme, and slideshow photos.
• Guest records entered by the host, including names, optional phone numbers, invite codes, plus-one details, table numbers, and which events each guest is invited to.
• Co-planner invite codes created by the wedding owner.

What guests provide

When a guest uses the app, we may store:

• An anonymous Firebase Authentication ID bound to the guest's invite code.
• RSVP response, plus-one response, and update timestamps.
• Expo push tokens if the guest allows notifications.
• Photos the guest chooses to upload, plus photo metadata such as storage path, dimensions, and upload time.

What we do not collect

• No advertising identifiers.
• No analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No GPS location data.
• No contacts.
• No payment information; gift links open outside the app.
• No photo library data except photos a guest explicitly uploads.

How data is used

The data is used only to run the wedding experience:

• Authenticate guests with private invite codes.
• Show each guest the correct wedding, schedule, places, and RSVP state.
• Let hosts manage their wedding and guest list.
• Let guests share private photos with the host couple.
• Send wedding-related push notifications.

Where data is stored

Records are stored in Google Firebase Firestore. Photos are stored in Firebase Storage. Push notifications are sent through Expo, which relays messages to Apple Push Notification service or the relevant platform notification service.

Who can see wedding data

Wedding hosts and their co-planners can see and manage the data for weddings they own. Guests can see their own guest state and uploaded photos, plus wedding content that the host made visible to them. Guests do not get access to other guests' private RSVP records or private photo galleries.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not use personal data for advertising or tracking. Service providers such as Firebase and Expo process data only so the app can function.

Retention and deletion

Hosts can delete their account and weddings from inside the app. Guests or hosts may also request deletion by emailing the address above. We may retain limited records where required for security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

Children

J&N is intended for wedding hosts and invited guests. It is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If this policy materially changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
